I was going to start a game with my friend but when I type his name into the friend search bar thing, he doesn't appear. Why not? and how can I invite him to a game?

It's not either of those.

Currently I have 1 friend online but when i click add friend: lots of people come up, some that have played scrabble before and others that haven't. But not everyone's there.
