Before parting with your hard earned cash for any printer – check out the cost of the ink cartridges, especially compatibles that will save you a fortune over the life of ownership.

It is not uncommon for a basic printer to cost around £35, with a set of print cartridges costing around £25. If compatible cartridges are available (check out ebay), a set should cost from £5 including P&P.
