I keep getting these two website's that keep appearing on my screen constantly called www.free6.se/ and http://540.scmg.net/ and they just wont go away.  Ive got AVG and Ad-Aware and Spybot but nothing seems to get rid of them, so if anyone can give me the simplest advice i will be most grateful.  Cheers

if you're using IE6 look at Tools-Internet Options-Privacy-Websites-Edit, there you will find a place to type the url's of nasty websites for blocking.

unfortunately microfish it keeps coming back that porn site called www.free6 and there's nothing else I can think of. Any more ideas would be appreciated.  Cheers

change the options in ad aware go to -> configuration (click on the cog)

-> advanced settings tick all memory and registry boxes

be sure you have latest update too!

That should do it

Any chance of telling me what to do step by step romko as i havent got a clue what to click on first, do i click on Ad-Aware and then what?  Cheers as you can tell i dont know much about pc's.

NOTE : I ASSUME YOU HAVE AD AWARE SE. Older versions not now supported so go to lavasoft website and download the new version for free, if this is necessary.

1)Run ad aware.

2)click check for updates now. click  yes when prompted.

3)once updates are downloaded and installed, click scan now.

4)after scan finishes, click every box in the list so a tick appears.

5)click remove selected items (cant recall exactly what is said)

6)then go to configuration (click on the cog icon) and do exactly as mentioned in my original post.

Then reset pc, and once restarted, do a new scan repeat from step 1)

if you dont manage it, get a freind to help or take the pc to a local computer shop (not some big high street rip off merchant like dixons or pc world!)

good luck
