I have to say that the thunder storm in England are mild in comparison the the ones over here. I am on the second line of the beach (one house in front of me, then the beach) and when the storms come, the entire back balcony and garden is covered in sand. From the front of the house, we can see the mountains, and it is a real sight to behold when you see the lightening and hear the thunder crashing around those mountains. We nearly always loose our electricity. However, these storms are still rare. But when it rains here, it REALLY rains. It doesn't bother me either way, but does upset poor Alf.
