I pod touch and wi fi

bought an i pod touch and its great. i have downloaded the i phone sofware of my pc so i can have the applications, games, facebook, ebay etc. but i dont know anything about wi fi, so i cant get on facebook or anything. Do i need to but something else, or what? can someone please give me some info so i can go on the net?

have you got broadband internet at home?

if yes have you got a wireless router?

yes i have broadband, but not a wireless router, its all wired! i am not really bothered about doing it at home as i have the internet, just wondered about when i'm out and about, shopping or at my mums who does have a wireless router?

Go into the settings, then network settings.

The wifi may be turned off. Slide the button to turn it on, and you should be able to choose from a list of available networks.

Choose the one you want to connect to, and if that router has a password, enter it.

Stand outside Wetherspoons or the O2 shop and get free wifi.

Many bars and cafes have free wifi.
