hd tv

hi all i have a hd ready tv if i get some hdmi cables can i watch dvds in high def or would i need a new dvd player

you'd need a new DVD player, blu-ray is probably the way to go.

A HDMI cables might increase the quality a tiny bit if your current DVD player has a HDMI output but not to HD levels.

I doubt if your current DVD player would have a HDMI connection anyway.
