No wireless broadband and want to play online on PS3

I want to play online on my new playstation 3 but i dont have wireless broadband. Anyone help me?

Do you have broadband?

It's doesn't have to be wireless, normal wired will work you just need to connect a cable between your router and the PS3.

yeah i have normal broadband. i bought a cable off ebay that fits into the ps3 but it doesnt fit in the phone socket, iv been told i can get an adapter for the phone socket but i still dont know if that would work!
