can anyone tell me why when i watch videos ie:youtube the video plays half the clip then stops?its a dell inspiron1520 if that helps

It is nothing to do with your laptop - it's because the video is 'streaming'.

You are tryng to watch it as it downloads, and it isn't downloading quickly enough.

Pause it after the start, wait a minute or two, then press 'play'.
