After using Winamp for about a year (because everyone said it was the best) I got sick of it's slow, buggy interface and uninstalled it. I thought in my innocence that audio CDs would now default to Microsoft's CD player - instead whenever I load a CD it defaults to winamp and then says it can't find it! This is a minor pest rather than a major hassle but I'd love to know how to fix it that CDs automatically play on MS's CD player without all this messing around. Is there a way I can associate audio CDs with CD player?

I use Win 2ooo if that has any bearing. Thanks.

go int My Computer, click on view then click on options, click on file types, locate the audio CD file type, click on it and then click edit. At the actions box, click on play and then click edit, in the applications used box, browse for CDplayer in the windows folder, this will default audio CDs back to the CDplayer
