most email applications show the email message that is about to be sent, including those that are forwarded, you just simply delete the section of text that shows who sent it to you etc

When I try this the whole e-mail is lost completely.
perhaps if you could tell us what you are doing, ie what email application I can offer further advise

I receive an e-mail showing everyone to whom it has been sent. I want to remove these names before forwarding. I am using AOL to send e-mails. Hope this is enough information.
This doesn't happen with Outlook or OE.

Can you copy the message and then paste it back in to the forwarded e-mail. (Or does that copy all the addresses as
well?)

What happens if you copy and paste message into a new e-mail?
When you click on forward and put in who to you are then able to highlight old names and addresses and hit delete if you have any problem, delete a few at a time works for me and all my friends.

Thankyou everyone for your advice. The only method I can.get to work is copy and paste into a new e-mail. Thankyou Machecoul for that.
