i need windows updates or a windows update pack but i cant download them everyime i try to its says to use internet explorer, because i am on firefox, so i change to internet explorer and everything is fine and dandy until it tells me that the internet explorer i am using has turned off add ons and i need add on's because it has programs such as active x which helps me download the updates, does anyone know how to turn the add ons back on?

In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, click Manage Add-ons, and then click Enable or Disable Add-ons.

see heres the thing , when i try to do that the manage add ons is grey and its uncliable PLZZZZZZZ HELP!!!!
It's not addons that you need to change, it's your security settings.

Click tools/Internet Options options
Click on the Security tag
Click on Internet (in the zones bit)
Set level to Medium High

it is already on medium security !!! PLZ HELP!!
If you use Firefox or Opera as your default browser, go to http://www.windizupdate.com/ and get them from there.
