I have a computer which is connected to broadband in one room but I would also like to share this net connection with a laptop that I have in another room without need for an ethernet cable. The wireless connection is always weak on the laptop so I get little or no connectivity to the net. Is there something that could help solve this? Thanks.

Move the router nearer to where you use the laptop.
There is something wrong. My router is in my loft, and the signal is strong all over the house, down the garden and in my neighbour's house 2 doors up!

Have you got your router in a bad position?
... or to follow up fo3nix - move your Laptop nearer the Router (after all the Laptop is supposed to be portable!)

Move the Laptop round your house and check for signal quality... if it is poor everywhere (esp when near the router then you've got a problem, either with the laptop or the router).

The position of the antenna on the router can make a big difference, so try it in different orientations.

A weak signal may need a bigger antenna - you can buy antenna extensions for some routers (e.g. Netgear)

Just a few ideas to try
