NTL Broadband Connection Issues

Why am I losing my Broadband connection everytime I turn on my pc? I have to wait several minutes before it comes back again and when it does come back its only connected for a few minutes before going down again.. Ive called NTL several times and they say everything is fine from thier end.. Ive tried unplugging the modem and waiting several minutes but the same thing keeps happening.. can anyone advise me what i can do.. Many thanks in advance
