Can anyone tell me why my Daewoo freeview box picture keeps on freezing.

This happens why changing channels, but not everytime. To fix this I have to disconnect the power supply and reset.

I have installed a new digital aerial, but to no availe.

Thanks

I have tried several different makes of freview set-top boxes , Pace/Sagem/Daewoo etc and every single one has suffered from this fault and have been returned to the shop from which they came except one branch of Curry's who had so many returned that they would no longer accept returns claiming that the boxes were not at fault.

Apparently all these boxes are just a rehash of the ones supplied by the original firm that went belly-up.

I now use a Topfield PVR which includes a 160GB Hard Drive giving nearly 90hrs recording capacity and after 3mnths use has not faltered once. It is expensive but there are several cheaper ones which are still very good.

Have a look at this site.

Yes, mine does this occasionally, it's a BUSH one I've had for about a year. Never took it back to the shop because I got it quite cheap and it was only really an intermittent glitch. Seems to have stopped doing it so since I've redone the wiring on my tv set up after a new purchse - it now goes via the dvd recorder.
