Monday. Overcast again. We didn't get the promised deluge, just a bit of light rain, hardly enough to dampen a tissue. Due for some today according to yer wee man on the idiot box.
Tiggy didn't hang about, had his supper and went back to bed.
I'm off to the docks again today, the last day of the festival. It's been very good, well up to standard. Lots of fun and games on the water, with a waterboard (like a snowboard, but on water) competition, the youngest participant was just 15, he was very good.
Bank Holiday today, although the residents at Mikey Towers normally ignore any siren calls from busy, crowded and noisy places so we won't go very far today. We had a drive up to our favourite reservoir yesterday afternoon and it was almost deserted !
The Tall Ships Festival is always a good weekend. I haven't missed one since I moved to Gloucestershire. I've been involved with it in one form or another for eight years. I love it! ;o}
personally I think donations are a better option..flowers die, teddies grow mouldy and decay..I find these things quite mawkish and a bit self serving....
They are waterman. Anyway, on a brighter note, is it too early for a chocolate muffin, I don't know how I did it, didn't follow the recipe 100% as it seemed so liquid ( did say it would be) but I wondered how it would ever bake thoroughly enough, so left out some of the milk. Anyway, I made the squidgiest moist chocolate cake ever! The sugar content is alarming, wouldn't have made it had I not already measured and added other ingredients first.
