Advert in paper for10" android tablet for £100.
Seems OK on paper. Don't want films or music.
A waste of money, or a reasonable deal?

With 1GB ram it's going to struggle. My smartphone has 3GB. The battery life will be very poor as they don't mention it. The screen will be low resolution because they don't mention that, either.

You will have to buy a memory card because 8GB is laughable. It is running Android Kitkat which is three years old. Doubtful that it will upgrade to Lollipop or Marshmallow.

In my opinion, it will be a frustrating waste of money
I can't swallow that one.

I reckon that you get what you pay for and I'd expect the build to be fragile and the resources limited for that. But if you aren't doing anything demanding and treat it carefully it may be ok for you.

I'd be wary of unbranded tablets for the reasons others have given. A decent low cost tablet I have seen working and would recommend is Lenovo Yoga - £180.
