Woke up and having a panic attack. I don't know why this time but I really would like it to stop. I know coming here to talk helps me a lot

The problem is, though, that there are only a few nutters around at this time of the morning ;-)

I know Burnchico but even just someone like yourself coming along to say something usually is enough to distract me and send me back into a gentle slumber
Never good to wake up that way qom. Always good to have friends to help calm your fears.

It seems to me, from what you say, to be a fairly regular occurrence, any reason that you know of for it?
So, I fall into the category of nutter and our chit chat puts Queenie to sleep!

Hmmm, if the cap fits.......
Ooops, forgot my smiley ;-)
If I've read that correctly, you're saying that my ramblings send people to sleep. So nothing's changed since my teaching days, then!

Oh well, c'est la vie ;-)

They originally began not long after I lost my mum Boaty, I was ill at the weekend and that triggered a rather large one. This one I don't know why sadly. I did go visit a friend in hospital last night so I'm wondering if that may be partly a cause.
Question Author
No not at all Buenchico. I just find hat having someone to talk to calms me.

1ozzy you are not a nutter you are a lovely person like all the others :)

The shaking is easing a little so it's a start
Question Author
That not hat - darn phone
Can't I be a niceish sort of nutter?

That would make me happy.
Where's the cat when you need him/her, Queenie? Doesn't a moggie have a calming influence on you? (My lot either calm me or drive me bonkers; there's no middle ground!)
Question Author
Course you can - can be what ever sort of nutter you wish to be
>>> I'd already come to that conclusion, 1ozzy ;-)

They do usually Buenchico, but I try not to have them in my room through the night. There's two next door and the remaining 4 are conked out up stairs well apart from Henry who was awake when I went to get some water.
You should be a therapist Queenie, I'm feeling good now ;-/

Hope you are soon.
I can't resist posting this ;-)

Very fitting Chris, but, when I owned a bus (for 15 years) the nutter was in the drivers seat!
Losing your mum seems to be the trigger then qom. I can understand that. The mind is a complex and, usually, a finely balanced super computer, in such cases the odd synapse refuses to work and upsets the whole system. I can't think of a better way to put it.) As far as I know there is nothing that can be done to ease it, you can't just give it a squirt of WD40 can you.

It seems coming on here helps you. There is always someone around for you. I hope you are feeling calmer now. :o}
Question Author
Never thought about a career in therapy.

I think being ill is also a trigger too, I was ill when mum passed away and also on the morning of the first PA. I understand totally though what you mean. I went to Counselling and that has ended but I did say that I found talking a lot easier and I know coming on here has been great.

I do feel a bit more calm, I nipped to the bathroom next door and began patting one of the two cats and I had to let them out the room as was no getting out of I didn't. Phoebe may come join me as she is forever dozing off on me so that may help.
Sounds good queenie. ;o}

'scuze my manners...or lack of...morning chris and oz.
