Anyone remember that? We used to go to school with our little flags, sing patriotic songs then get the afternoon off. It died out in the late fifties.

Queen Victoria's birthday, May 24th., is still commemorated in Canada as "Victoria Day', and is a long weekend.

Wat I mean is that the holiday is the Monday closest to and previous to the 24th.. So this weekend just past was a long weekend.
