A week or two ago I posted (in law I think) about my 18yr old son not been able to pay his fines due to not having a job or been unable (or unwilling) to claim benefits.
He started work yesterday. Not sure if its his 'bag' as it is telesales for Ronseal windows but hes trying now at least after 2 yrs of hanging around with his mates and doing nothing basically. He surprised us all when he came and said 'im starting work'. Not only that but hes also got ANOTHER interview with the Newlook warehouse tomorrow before he starts his shift with Ronseal in the afternoon.
I ought to have posted this in R&S....MIRICLES do happen, lol
Had to give him a tenner this morning for his bus fares, dinner etc cuz he was skint. Hope to god I get it back...its my bedroom tax for this week. He lives with his mum but hes at mine this week....I'm prepared to go without tho if hes making an effort.
Thank you guys for sharing in my 'surprise'.
I love my son more than anything, and will defend him to the hilt, (as we all will) but it was totally out of the blue that he had a start date for work (or at least training for that work) and also another interview lined up for tomorrow.
Think he might realise now that 'dad' aint going to pay his fines or that the courts arnt going to let them go just because he was a juvinnile at the time.
Thanks again AB'ers
