Ok, wondering if anyone has any suggestions on buying a new digital camera. Experiences rather than explanations as i know about them but want to know whats best to buy by experience.

Looking for something with 3 or more Megapixels and some form of basic optical zoom at least BUT and here is the bit bit, is reliable with batteries or ideally has some form of Ipod-like rechargable battery system so that i am not constantly buying new batteries because rechargables dont work that only last about 20 pics and then die!

Any ideas? Price range as cheap as possible but up to 150 as the maximum

Thanks Folks

I've got a Panasonic DC70 which is fairly similar to this one . Mine came with rechargeable batteries which seem to last forever. Lasted two weeks and around 80 photos on holiday recently with only one top up. I would definately recommend Panasonic.
a very good indicator is to visit amazon and go to their digi camera section and view the top sellers(they must be top sellers for a reason) and you can also read customer reviews.
