Are they upside down?
They sound like they need adjusting.
Are you still using the pint-sized ones Dot?
Your nose is too big:-)
You need to go back to Specsavers.
too warm for a balaclava so it can't be that
Too wide (or have you been drinking haha???).
Dot, you should gently bend your side bits; however, don't adjust your glasses.
If you have had them a while the hinges can work loose, especially if you take them on and off a lot (like reading glasses). The optician will tighten them.or you can get a special little screwdriver kit at the pound shop.
Don't! Don't try bending anything! Don't! The optician uses a special heater before doing this, if you do it cold you'll snap them or put stress on another part of the specs leading to more visual problems.
They don't make them to hook over your ears like they used to. They grasp your head just above your ears. I find that mine are forever slipping down my nose especially when I am bending to pick things up or trying to pull up a few weeds. They have even fell right off my face. The only good thing about it is you don't get those sore places behind your ears caused by wrong fitting.
Mosaic, I wasn't referring to the glasses. I meant Dot's side bits: her ears:)
Well, they DO make them to go behind your ears...but you have to choose that style.
@ ginge - Do they? I am due for an eye test tomorrow so I shall have a look to see if I can find some. Might stay on better.
Do you remember the glasses with wires that went behind your ears?
I remember seeing those, Tilly2. The wearer had to manipulate the curved wire portion until it almost reached the earlobe. If you watch some old movies, you'll observe people making quite a production of attaching their glasses:)
When I was at Infant / Junior school I remember a few of the kids wearing those wire framed national health glasses, some with one of the lenses covered which I think was to correct a lazy eye.
