Yesterday I managed without to much difficulty to connect my Desktop to a small screen TV and was able to watch BBC Iplayer.
Today I have spent most of the day without success to connect a laptop to the main TV a Panasonic TX-32LXD80. I had used a USB connection on both computers to a HDMI on the TV's I have just tried to connect the Laptop (HP G6 2240as) to the same TV as I connected the Desktop to and another failure. So problem must be with the laptop. Can anyone help.

Have you connected the laptop to the TV using a double ended HDMI cable, then pressing f4?

The connection has been made by a USB on laptop to HDMI on tv same as I used on the Desktop.
According to the User Guide, the connection should be made using the HDMI port on your laptop.

Exactly what I did and all now OK. I thought of this trying to get to sleep last night that perhaps I had got bogged down because the desktop did not have a HMDI port hence the conversion lead. Checked the laptop for a HDMI port it did and hey presto. Thanks for all the answers have a nice weekend.
