I have a number of tunes that I wish to copy onto a memory card that is in a MP3 player, I have done this countless times in the past, but today with each one I choose to copy it comes up with the message 'Problem file' and it refuses to copy it onto the SD card..

What could be going wrong please?

Have you accidentally locked the SD card? Check that you've not moved the slider down:

I've had this happened to me too.

I right click on the file and drag it to the memory card, which would be F or E etc. drive.

Hope someone post a solution to this soon.

Thanks for your reply, but no the card is not locked, I put the card into my card reader and all the files on it come up and I am able to play them, but when I go into 'My Music' highlight a file, select 'copy this file', make the card reader letter the recipient and then press 'copy 'it is crossed in red in the TeraCopy window, and states 'Problem File' I have tried this with different cards and different music files but it still happens.
Have you tried without using TeraCopy? i.e. by simply opening a normal Windows Explorer window for the folder containing your files, and another one for the destination folder?

Also, have you tried copy-&-paste as well as drag-&-drop?

Sorry for the delay and thank you for your suggestions, but no matter how I try to copy a file and paste, or drag and drop it in the card it still comes up 'problem file'.
Will the music file copy to anywhere else such as the desktop. Then try copying the copy to the card.
Also, can you write the files to a Music CD (not as data files). If that then plays, you could try to re-import them to your PC.

What software do you use to play music on your PC. There may be an export function there.

Thank you for your help Gromit, very good of you, I managed to copy a music file to my desk top, but was unable to copy from desk top to the card.

The software I use to play my music files is Windows media player.

I tried copying from desktop to another SD card and it copied it successfully, so I suspect something has gone wrong with the original card.

Thanks once again AOG.
Just a thought, what format are the music files in. I had this problem once before when I tried to copy .flac files as my player doesn't support them.
