BBC iPlayer disconnects wireless adapter

I can stream anything without problems -no buffering on YouTube, 4OD for example.

When I try to listen to radio catchup on BBC iPlayer I lose the internet intermittently - can be 5 minutes or 20 minutes.
Have to go through the Windows troubleshooter to reconnect.

Could it really be BBC iPlayer radio catchup that is causing the problem? I was beginning to think the wireless card was faulty; or my router; or my ISP.

Windows 7. Firefox 15.0.1 Realtek RT8191 SE adapter.

This has only happened since iPlayer adopted their new format.

Strange problem!

Have a check of both your router logs and the windows\system log in windows event viewer to see if there is anything there that may throw some light on it.
OH, you probably want to recreate the problem and make a note of the time before checking the windows log!
It is possible that someone else has just got a wireless router in a nearby house and it has a strong signal on the same channels that your router is set to. There is a free program called inSSIDer which when run, will show you wireless connections near to you and their strength. Run it when you manage to reconnect after getting cut off and you can see if there are any strong signals on the same channels that your connection is set to.
