I'm trying to call a number of someone but I've tried from two phones and it says the number is not recognised. I received a text off them this morning so it was in use then. What reasons are there that it would now be an unrecognised number?

I'm on the same network (o2) and mine seems ok.

If they disconnected the phone At some point after this morning would it say the number wasn't recognised?
or you're putting the number in wrong?
Question Author
Nope, tried it first from the saved number in my mobile and over several years its been ok.
have you tried sending a text?
Question Author
Yeah but I don't k ow if it has been received, that's why I tried to call.
ah. How about you change the setting sin your phone to let you know if the text has been read then try again?

Failing that, they've had their phone cut off for some reaons

If you're close enough to them to be on the same cell tower you could always walk the 200m to them and ask them then.

Alright chuck, sarcasm not necessary when I obviously don't have a clue about something.

I don't have that option on my phone OJ. Guess its been cut off.
or call them on landline if the number is a mobile your calling
did you manage to get hold of the person, Evian?
Have they blocked you for any reason?
