MaCafee security and website security

I had the free 30 day trial of Macafee and it ran out and i didn't want to pay for it and got a few free ones. The funny thing is Macafee is still with me, it still warns me with an amber or red "WHOAH DO YOU REALLY WANT TO GO THERE AS WE SEEN THE SITE SHOWING ONE OR MORE SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOURS" Kind of message and when i go to google it shows me the search with each web address having a green tick(Good sites) or red cross (Bad site) MacAfee still sends me popups saying my computer may be unsafe yet it still protecting me for free.
Does anyone know why, is it just a clever marketing ploy?

Another question is that sometimes it gives you the warning as mentioned above, what exactly does the program look for in the milliseconds it's on a site and what does it class as "Suspicious behaviour?

It won't be updating itself, so it won't be fully protecting you.

It will remain on your computer until you either

a) upgrade to the full version
or
b) uninstall it - it won't automatically unistall when your fre trial is over!

As has been said, as NEW dodgy web sites are discovered then your PC will not be updated with the details.

Also as new viruses are discovered that will not be updated on your PC either.

So you will get SOME support, but not of anything dodgy that has been discovered recently.
