Nuisance telephone calls

My aged mother is receiving any number of nuisance phone calls every day and I would like to put a stop to it. I've registered her number with the Telephone Preference Service, which has made little difference and have now come across a company called CPR Global who want money up front for their services. Is there anybody out there who knows anything about this company and whether or not the service they offer actually does prevent nuisance calls. Many thanks.

most calls are from india and therefore get through the tps system the indian call centre chats to you the patches you through to a uk marketing caller, that way the uk caller gets round the tps too
tps only supply uk marketeers list of registered tps subscribers they don't block the calls,

Also sign up for BT Privacy at Home if she is on BT to get free Caller ID.
Tell her to take the phone off the hook. Say "hold on a moment" and leave the phone... They will get the message eventually. Or buy her a whistle.
Whistle is not a good idea. they can call you back with an even louder whistle...
