internet being stupid

yesterday i was on fb.... it was working fine (well as fine as fb ever works) but i couldnt get on anything else. I opened new tabs to do google searches it kept coming up with the server not found error message..... i tried putting addresses in like here, bank etc and got the same message. All that would work was fb. I even tried using the fb window i had open and just got the same message. Now im on here and its happening again, here is fine if a bit slow but i cant open anything else .... anyone know whats happening? thank you :)

Try Start>Help & Support>System Restore & choose an earlier date to re-set your pc.

Don't bother with system restore, it is like trying to crack a walnut with a sledge hammer for the problem you are having.
Do a disk cleanup, reboot your PC and see if that solves it.

thanks to you both.... i just fiddled with router before seeing the replies here and it seemed fine after.....

I suggest you turn your router off and leave for 1 minutes and turn it back on . Wait for a couple of minuted ans then try again. DONT DO A SYSTEM RESTORE.

thats what i did brainz and thanks.... i wouldnt do a system restore unless it was vital for some reason i hate using it

System restore is not something you would do for such a minor problem. It really annoys me when people (who have no idea what they are talking about) suggest it for every little PC issue.
