Changing 'phone supplier

I still have a few months to go before my contract with Virgin mobile finishes & I would like to go back to PAYG but with a different company, could someone please explain how I go about this. TIA.

I forgot to say that I would like to keep my present phone & number.

I think you need your supplier to give you a PAC # - they are obliged to do so.

That enables you to transfer your # to another supplier
