recording digital tv onto vhs...?

my mum seems to think that you cannot record digital TV onto VHS tapes...

i am sure you can ... can't you?

I know i used to record my cable tv, but havent really taped anything since the big switchover...

she only has a freeview box

is it just that she needs to reroute the cables through the box... or is she correct?

if you can, can anyone point me to where i would find a general diagram of the cables so i can show her...?

thanks

I'm sure you will be able to record it.
We've got a recorder (not a freeview box - just a recorder) and we can record prorammes from TV onto either the hard drive, DVD or VHS. They can then be copied from any one of the 3 onto any of the other 2 - so you can copy from hard drive to DVD and VHS; DVD to hard drive and VHS; and VHS to hard drive and DVD.
Handy lil' machine - useful for copying your old videos onto DVD :)
Hi Joko, try this site for cable connections,
