wireless keeps dropping

So my neighbour bought a new pc, and with this new pc the wireless keeps dropping, its like someone constantly switches it on and off. I have tried moving the wireless dongle with an extension to no joy.

When moving original pc back it has moderate connection with only random drops. I have also purchased him a usb with a rangebooster, this only yields the same results.

Any ideas on what I can do to help him resolve this issue? Many thanks.

Change the wireless channel in the settings on the router.
The poster above is correct. Google the name of the ISP your neighbour uses, together with the words "change wireless settings". You will then simply type the IP address they give you into your address bar.. once you have typed in the login and password, which they will also give you (unless your neighbour has changed the password, in which case get it from him!). Each ISP is different, so follow their instructions. There are usually 3 preferred settings, so try each one and choose the one with the strongest signal. Hope this helps.
