Receipt of email?

I have sent an email to someone and I was expecting a reply! Is there anyway I can check to see if they have received it or if they have 'blocked' me?

No.

Some mail clients let you request a read receipt notification but the recipient can simply click on don't send receipt so you wouldn't get one even if you requested it.

Email is not and has never been a guaranteed form of communication.
