I wish to transfer all my sent and received Emails onto a CD-R disc, so that I can then clear them from my computer.

Is there a quick way of doing this, please?

My Emails are in Outlook Express, and my operating system is XP.

Hi again : )

O Express .. Tools/Options/Maintenance Tab .. Store Folder.
Copy the path and paste it into a Run box (from Start button) .. OR find that folder path in Windows Explorer.
You will see all the named folders (in addition, ones you made .. if any)
Copy ALL the folders to another place .. on another drive or pen drive. This is your complete backup.
You can overwrite original folder set or selectively .. delete the old folders you don't want first though. Keep OE closed while you do this .. restart it to test.
I use GMail for this sort of thing. Export all my emails to gmail and not only can I delete them from my pc, but I can easily access them from any pc, anywhere in the world, as long as it is online.
Got to more convenient than faffing with cds.
Yes .. but AOG uses Outlook Express.
The folders can be on USB disc if transportability is what he needs.
He can still use Outlook Express, combined with GMail
Well yes .. he could .. but if he did he would probably ask.

He could use Outlook, exchange server, etc .. and access his mails worldwide day and nighty from an iPhone if he wanted .. but I suspect not.
not sure he wears a nighty, AlBags
oh yes : )

Hi Albags

I did what you advised but it informed me that it could not copy these three files for some reason.
FOLDERS
IN BOX
OFF LINE.

However it did copy on my CD-R disc the following:
Deleted Items
Drafts
Folders
In Box
Off Line
Out box
Send Items
Spam Killer
Zone Alarm Challeng..
Zone Alarm Junk Mail
Zone Alarm Phishing

But when I tried to open any of these files, It told me Windows cannot open file, and asked me what programme created it, and do I want to go on line to find the appropriate file or select one from list.

Help, any ideas Albags?
