Recently purchased a HP mini flash drive which works perfectly in my computer USB ports. It won't work in my DVD player USB port, the message is that it's incompatible. I thought a mini drive was just a smaller version of a normal size flash drive. Am I missing a trick? Any advice appreciated.

There's nothing in the manual suggesting a size limit but the normal flash drives I'm using are 4Gb and the mini drive that doesn't work is 8Gb ( I don't have a 4Gb mini drive to test the theory.
DVD players support some drives, not others ..
There is a big list for Philips players for instance.

The drive at least has to be FAT32 formatted.

All--- Thanks for the help, it's certainly more complex than a simple lad like me thought.
