my grandson wants to connect his wireless laptop to the internet through a Talk Talk broadband modem.
What does he need to do to get connection?

A wireless router/adsl modem. and get rid of the current broadband modem.

they cost about 50quid or talk to talk talk as they may supply you with one cheaper or for free even!

would usb adaptor work or does he need a router. Talk talk are looking nearly 90 for router?
he needs a router to connect wirelessly (and thats assuming his laptop is wireless enabled already)

The usb adaptors are for making laptops wireless enabled if they are not already.

90quid is a hell of a lot for a router.

Or goto pcworld and you can get them for about 50, or have a look on ebay and you can probably get one far far cheaper, just make sure it is a combined router and ADSL modem.
