pc guard total

the antivirus update fails to install,i have used the diagnostic tool ,it found 1 fault,i forwarded the file to virgin support as it states ,but they ignored up to now ,they have sent no acknowledgement of recieving the file although i no it went ok.my problem is ,am i safe to go on sites with the updates not installing,? I can turn off the antivirus section of pc guard,could i install the free avg just for safety untill if they do get back to me.thirdly add/remove does not uninstall pc guard completly is there a uninstall programme i could download for complete uninstall of pc guard and pc guard advisor and stuff virgin completly. thanks in anticipation.

that pc guard sounds like name of fake security tool. i mean those that require paying for deleting nonexistent malwares and those that don't really do any good for your computer. are you sure that pc guard is reputable program? if it is reputable it should have uninstall option.
i strongly recommend running antispyware scan. you can download free antispyware here: malwarebytes anti-malware

thanks for the reply,yes pc guard is thro virginmedia,if you go on to the large up to 10mb broadband at £25.00 a month pc guards antivirus,anti spyware,firewall, comes as free,otherwise you pay £7 a month on your bill,if you dont take the larger download speed
i am on the 10mb download speed.In yahoo questions, peoples problems are not able to fully uninstall pc guard completly ,that why i was aking is there other software i could download to ensure complete removal before using add/remove
