Mobile phones and cookies

I'm interested in how mobile phone internet tracking can work and in order to look at this further I had the following question...

How many mobile phones in the current market place can currently accept cookies?

I know most phones can seem to accept them especially smart phones and PDAs. Anything with WAP2 nowadays it seems but wanted to try and get an official % figure. Does anyone know this figure?
