Can someone please tell me how to stop unwanted emails. I keep getting from all sorts of strange email addresses 'invitations' to buy drugs - such as vallium, viagra (!) etc. It does have the word spam against it but unfortunately if I put that word in the message rules it will also stop messages from ebay and amazon getting through. Its driving me mad - I am getting up to 20 a day now. HELP!

If on BT Yahoo go to Options (top right), then Block Addresses. Just add details as directed - it works most times
On AOL, click on 'Report Spam' and they'll block the sender in future.

Thanks for all help so far. I am on Orange. Using Outlook Express for emails. I have been putting message rules in and blocking senders but it is a never ending job. The emails I am receiving now seem to have got round my message blocks by altering the content of their mail by inserting extra letters ie VALLvIUM. So that means a whole new set of message rules! I have no idea how my email address became known to them in the first place. Most of my email now seems to be these pains in the ....!
Try instead using Thunderbird. It looks very much like Outlook, but has a bayesian spam filter which learns what is spam and what isn't. It'll take some messages to train it as to what is spam and what isn't, but it's very easy to use (you just highlight emails and click the junk button if it's junk. they'll then go into your junk mail folder).
