I last visited San Francisco in 1992, and I had a great time.Don't forget to go to Alcatraz, and the food in Chinatown is ruddy marvellous, the Chinese food I have ever eaten, anywhere.

I recommend the cheesecake factory the food there and the cheesecakes are terrific. On Fishermans Wharf try the dark chocolate covered cranberries.

Monterey is not far and is well worth a visit.

Many congratulations! Enjoy SF, I loved it. I stayed in Chinatown and the food was really good, as mikey says. Did see a few dead rats, but what the heck! Have fun!!

Mendocino county, other side of the bridge, is lovely and there is the bay where Hitchcock filmed The Birds - hire a car, its an easy trip. :)
