In remembering dreams I find I can only recall visual stuff – this has always been the case for me and is true even when, after waking, I’m absolutely sure part of the dream has been a conversation with someone. I never remember a single word.
Do others have the same memory gaps and are they typical/expected?
but I also have matrix like scene jumps where I think to myself in the dream: 'that is very odd, is this a dream ?'
and once and once I dreamt I had the winning combination for the lottery
and when I woke up noted them down
I didnt win ( huh ) typical wish fulfillment dream,
I often wake up because I think I've heard a noise...but can find no explanation for the noise. I know we have visions in our sleep but can we actually dream noises?
I once had a dream I could not remember but woke up repeating a set of numbers. I soon realised this was the telephone number of someone I really should be building bridges with, someone I had not spoken to for 5 years. I got back in touch -and wish I *** hadn't now they are a nightmare!
Ah but did you check the numbers the following week Peter. Perhaps it was a long range fortune prediction.
Yes one can dream sound. Not that I recall much for more than a second or two on waking, these days. But I don;t stick there determined to recall it either.

Jesus retro I did this and ended my spontaneous conversation with:
"I have learnt something from this conversation and that is not to ring people up on spec. This is something I will not do again, we all live and learn"
and what did the other end say - Good or Goodbye I think
