Duplicate dreams!

3 nights ago a friend and I dreamt virtually the same dream. We didn't speak immediately before sleeping and were 6 miles apart. I dreamt she was being held in a 1930s semi by a man in a long coat with turned up colla (couldn't see his face) and I was outside looking in. There was nothing violent, treatening or frightening happening - and no conversation. She dreamt the same man and same house, but from her viewpoint knowing I was outside the house, again mood and communication was the same ........................... we also both woke from this dream at the same time in the early hours. Is there anything other than coincidence to explain this.

Probably a coincidence- we have many dreams and it's not a surprprise that someone somewhere has a similar dream to one a friend has. But maybe you have similar interests/fears or watched the same film/read the same book recently or discussed an incident together beforehand

Can't think of a trigger Factor, but you might well be right - but was the first dream I have remembered for ages!
woooooooooo.......spooooky!!
Thats a bit freaky!
Could be something you were discussing or saw together last time you met and the dreams replaying it. BUT, very strange both dreaming almost the exact same sequence , the only difference being personal perspectives. Weird, eerie and puzzling. Dream on x.

Nope! Absolutely no rational explanation - no discussion, news item, book etc that would hvae prompted this ............ Am baffled!
