Is This The Usual?

When I post a thread or response it shows it's in the Latest Post grey box although it's still uploading? Is this how it should work? Has anyone noticed this happening to their posts when posting?

Well if it is after you have pressed 'submit' then it seems normal yes.

Yep it has happened with me in the past, problem was the broadband was to slow ( a BT problem ). Phoned them and they did something their end to speed it up and no problems since touch wood.

It is? I though when a post is showing in the grey box it's already uploaded and available for viewing.

In my case it is still uploading but yet I could open said thread from the grey box in another window. Am I making sense?

I may have misunderstood you, when I press 'submit' it goes instantly, no time lapse at all.

I suspect the acknowledgement back to your PC is slow so it "believes" it is still sending the data, but the webpage knows it already has the post and updates the "Latest Posts" box. That's my guess anyway. Usually if I'm wanting to be sure I open a second window and check the post exists. If it does I can go back or something on the original window.
