Is it anything to worry about? I don't shop on the internet very often, I'm a bit paranoid. :)

my money is on blue too. Neti i am glad you are feeling relieved. We went out early today, had a lovely time and then fell back to bed. Woke up again at 5 to 11!! mind you we had a very energetic day yesterday. I am stopped now till wednesday when the next earth delivery arrives.

Really happy for you Neti now. I was concerned. But I think boys are slower at getting touch than girls. Steady is really long winded but when he does get here he does stay for a good chat or he needs something sorting!!
I'm off to his house tomorrow but I'm still waiting for him to let me know what time I can get there cos I don't have a key, would you believe!
And Steadier rarely rings me first.
Robi I'm wearing my blue and pink top today, the one I wore to the 'guess the sex' party of 'Friends' granddaughter so I'm hedging my bets for your grandchild!
Off walking again tomorrow to a place called Heage. I expect it'll be a circular tour my walking friend has organised. I know it's about 6 miles so wish me luck!

Hi Jude.

Just chatted to hija on FB and will try skypeing tomorrow. She did loose her luggage cos here they said it would go straight to Dubai, so she didn't get it! Her Arab boss moved heaven and earth to get it from Abu Dhabi so she has it now. Says although hot it is not humid and she dresses covered up. I am so relieved will sleep well tonight.

Thanks Shaney I'm taking my rain coat and my sticks cos if I know my friend it'll be hilly. I'm walking as much as I can as 1 day I wont be able to go as far as I do now.

Jno. I'm just lucky. I would never have believed I would ever be walking like I do and enjoying it as much as I do before I retired. Mind you I did spend the last 17 years at work running up and down Sainsburys so I supposed that helped. It's the feeling I get being in the open air rain or shine.

Jude is halfway to Belper by now... I have got all the way to my computer... Bob the builder came in yesterday and reconstructed half our manky awning (just polycarbonate sheeting out the back, it keeps the snow from piling up against the French windows and provides somewhere to dry laundry when it's warm but raining). New sheeting is a bit less manky, and he should finish it today and give it some new paint, the first this century.

Morning all...none the wiser I'm afraid, (I'd love to have a hairdresser in the family! :)), no word from them and no answer to my text. I have been warned that their mobiles don't always get a very good signal, it's a bit rural where they live now, but they were supposed to be having a new landline last week. Actually, by my calculation, the scan should be next week so maybe I was told the wrong day. Tut...offspring and their lack of communication....see neti, you're not alone.

It's very chilly again, only just into double figures but I haven't succumbed as many have and put the heating on. Unbelievable, I hope it's not going to be a long cold winter. I'm dragging myself around today, it looks like I'll have to get used to my innards being irritable every 10- 14 days or so, they seem to have developed a routine all of their own. Hey ho.

Bright and sunny but chilly .Chilly at night too and I had to get a blanket out last night .Think I'd better put the thicker duvet back on the bed .It doesn't look as if there's to be any warmer for the foreseeable future either .It's not good enough ..tut.
Hope you're all ok though .I expect Jude is halfway to Yorkshire by now :)

our heating put itself on last night - I suppose leaving all the back doors open for the builder to come and go lowered the ambient temperature round the whole house - and I woke up all aswelter. I've adjusted the thermostat and hope to sleep a bit better tonight. We are going to dine at the Ritz (thanks to a half-price offer on Amazon). Can't say I'm salivating after reading their menu, though.

good morning all, we went out early again this morning the went back to bed, it was lovely. Today i am sorting inside the house, designing myself a new computer desk which I will build with my own fair hands. This sounds more impressive than it is as I will base it on two or three of those rubberwood folding tables with a plank top screwed on so they won't fold and will be joined together. The (hopefully) final delivery of soil came about half an hour ago so one more gardening weekend then that's it for a while till i get the posh wooden tubs delivered. I will fill them then wait till the tortoises are asleep to strip out and redo their pen.
Sorry to hear that you are feeling rumbly in the jungle Robi. I have just come out of a bout of it thanks to the wonders of mebeverine. I have tried it before with no success but this time I was more careful to take it on an empty stomach.

Morning all. Yes I slept quite well with strange dreams.

Managed to do my pile of ironing for an hour today when Mr N went shopping. He's driving me mad having him around!

Thought it was going to be dark and dismal and cool, but it soon heated up and is very sweaty now.

I have lots of energy too, just wish it was cooler so I could sunbathe or go for walks, it drains me in theis heat. It is Hippie Market Day today so all thr traffic on the island comes through Sta E to get to Es Cana, and the roads are horrendous. I was waiting to cross on a crossing and one car stopped so was halfway across when first one car shot past and then another just as I was stepping on that side, the driver my side was hooting his horn and shaking his fists and shouting at the drivers. I would have been hit if I hadn't been so cautious, quite shook me up.
