Oh dear. Surely Human Rights will have to be considered first.
They'll probably all come over here.
Who cares???
// Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias blamed mass migration for bringing the country ‘to the brink of collapse’. //

So it had nothing to do with Mass tax evasion, Corruption, inefficiency, lack of investment, useless Government and casino bankers. Blame the immigrants, the gullible always fall for that one.
6,000 arrested

Most released

88 returned to Pakistan on Sunday

Looks to me like a government acting tough to satisfy internal pressures and a British Newspaper saying - "oh look they can be tough why can't we?"

But that would involve the DM being disingenuous to stoke the flames on immigration issues

Isn't that what the Express is there for?
It is estimated that only around 30% of the tax due in Greece actually gets paid, that is why the country is on its knees. This is just a way of keeping the Greeks minds off the austerity measures.
as you know, or don't, i try and speak from personal experience and Greek friends of ours know that most of the countries problems are of their own making. But one thing that Greece has been trying to battle for a long while is illegal immigration, as those coming across borders are usually from p*** poor countries, cannot contribute, and some have turn to criminal behaviour, so if they are rounding up illegals let them, but i don't think that it's entirely their fault the country is in the doo doo.

The Greeks have probably not realised it but Greece is just a stepping stone for the rest of Europe. Once the immigrants realise Greece is on its knees they will end up at Calais and swell the numbers there hoping to get to Britain. At least the intention of Greece is right to repatriate them back to Africa...Italy would just hold them in camps and realease them to go on their way. The Greeks would probably just ignore the ECHR.

Whoever or whatever is to blame there is little the 'gullible' (and that includes you Gromit) can do about it
