Trustee Rapport Protection

Has anyone had any problems with the above, get offered it everytime I log onto Santander, but I have a feeling I read on here a while ago that it wasn't very good, slowed everything down etc. Is it necessary?TIA rosy

It isn't anti virus software

I get the same message but have never bothered with it. I think I have sufficient protection in place without it and don't want it taking up space or risking it conflicting with anything i already have installed.
M<y banking has been perfectly safe so far without using it...

No performance issue with Trusteer Rapport at current version. Got it originally from Santandar but HSBC didn't acknowledge it was there. Took the download from HSBC and it upgraded to a later version which both sites recognised. Newer version comes up with less stupid alerts. Only complaint is the silly number of little files it leaves in the Recycle Bin.
