Hi
Just bought a Samsung Smart TV and a wi-fi dongle. When I try to connect to the internet I get a message saying "Wireless connection detected but unable to connect to the Internet". Is the "signal" from my router not strong enough ? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

this may be a silly question, but have you put in your wireless password? I cant find my password at moment so my TV is not connecting either.

Hi redcrx
The TV shows that the wireless connection is ok (automatically finds the router) but cannot connect to the internet. I haven't been asked for a password when trying to connect - I don't know why !!

your router will have a password either a default one or one you've put in
if the tv wants that then type it in
ive tried going into the settings on mine to find where you enter it but cant at mo, Kids are watching something, but will try later and see where password goes.

Just an update. Been in touch with Samsung again, they are sending out an engineer. Don't know when but at least they doing something.
Thanks for all the replies.

The TV has detected the dongle but is unable to connect to your router because the lack of password stops it from getting a data feed.

Can you get to the settings and view the USB port on the TV? That's how I set one up recently. Similarly to setting on up on a computer. Detecting the router and asking for a password etc.

Just an update on this post.
Samsung engineer called in today, TV is too far from the router . Found this out by process of elimination - eventually took the TV into the room where my PC is (TV is on ground floor, PC on 1st floor) and it worked wonderfully.
Thanks for all the advice everybody.
