Does anyone use VidReDo, I have just purchased a version but when I tried to go onto the forum a pop up appeared saying I was banned and that the ban will never be lifted, which is fair enough except I have never been on there as yet, so was just wondering how to get around this as a email to the company hasn't resulted in any replies

Assuming you're on a ADSL connection power off your router for a minute or so, you should get a different IP address when you turn it back on which hopefully hasn't been banned.

I've just looked on there, seems people have had problems which were fixed by adding www.videoredo.net to the hosts file.

Can't really see how adding it to the hosts files will do anything other than bypass the need for a DNS lookup, but if you do add it to the hosts file the IP address to go with it is 207.58.163.37

Just been thinking CF, If I try to get on at work like I am now I am still barred, so I dont think a different IP address will make any difference.
Chuck, I didn't fully understand their reasoning, I just did a search for 'ban' in the forum.
From a quick search myself on the forum (what a horrible image capcha they use!) the host file solution is to solve a DNS problem they seem to have sometimes. they also seem to have had a lot of problems with spam (and porn) posts so they have banned some IPs.

If they are banning your IP and changing it when at home doesn't work then all I can suggest is emailing them again.

Hi CF, just switched my router off but no change, so I have just e-mailed them again via the contact form. Thanks anyhow.
