Something is really slowing down startup lately...It's taking up to 90 seconds to get from desktop to start page, . Not many weeks ago it was around 20 seconds.,...I'm wondering if it's the above that's causing it, but I have no idea what it actually does....Iv'e got bags of memory and the latest Norton 2011. (It isn't that)... Any idea's? Thanks, JT

Go on start at bottom of your screen and in the search type msconfig, click on the file to open it, there you will see a menu with different settings, theres a boot section and it shows what programs run from boot up,you can stop some of these by un-ticking them. It may help the speed of your start up. I also been told that Norton can update and decide to do different tasks after a while of using it. it could be that doing extra at start up that previously it didn't do.
