have a panasonic dvd recorder. I have recorded a fil onto the hard drive and want to copy this onto a dvd. I have checked and it says it takes all the different types of dvds so i have DVD-RW. I put it in to copy and it says to format. It is straight out of the box so is blank and I have tried numerous discs. I then put it into my pc and clicked format, then tried it in the dvd recorder again and it says the same............. any help?

No you will need to format it in the dvd recorder. All DVDrws need to have this done and all dvd recorders will ask if t is ok do this. This is because dvd RW s can be erased and re-used time and time again. Try checking under the system menu or you could rtfm.

On your remote press Drive Selection choose DVD, then select Functions and you should be able to format your disc from there.
