I tend to have a lot of problems with my laptop booting up and am always sending for the repair man (PC world won't help), thought it might be easier to leave it in sleep mode, as I can get straight back into it, but is this ok to do this and does it cost a lot? Please advise

It should be fine. It just uses the battery a little bit, so after a week or so, the battery will be dead (just leaving it asleep).

thanks for putting my mind at rest, will just have to charge it up again or leave it plugged in,think the electricity might? just be cheaper than calling out the IT guy all the time : )
